Abortion:

Majority of the public firmly agrees with the Liberals on abortion, since they strongly believe each woman has the right to control her own body. However, I have an opinion which is quite distinctly opposed to both parties. Obviously, I concur that if a girl were to have been raped or had used protection while having intercourse, they should definitely have the right to abort the fetus. But if the pregnancy was due to carelessness, the female must survive the consequences, keeping in mind that giving the kid up for adoption is always an option. Despite the fact that the baby is still a fetus, it is still considered as a living human being no matter the stage of the child’s development.

Embryonic Stem Cell System Research:

Extracting a embryonic cell from a unborn child is completely inhuman, intolerable and should only be used for research only. This should not be a difficult decision regardless to if it were to assist scientists in discovering cures and treatments for diseases. This act should not be legalized, until given evidence of it’s worth in saving a beings life in order to kill another’s.

Global Warming/ Climate Change:

Global warming is certainly caused by humans use of carbon dioxide through the burning of fossil fuels, not because it is “natural over a long period of time”. Science has proven that if not for humans, the earth’s temperature would have decreased to such an extent that it could have transformed into ice. Therefore, the public needs to wake up and resolve the problem, by reducing carbon emissions before it destroys us all.

Homeland Security:

Passenger profiling is like judging a book by it’s cover and is certainly wrong. Doing extra security checks based on someone’s appearance or religion is the same as claiming that all whites are better than blacks. Not only is racial profiling offensive and wrong, but acts like these makes Muslims such as myself, feel unwanted and rejected from society for who I truly am. “Terrorists do not fit a profile”.

Immigration:

The government should prioritize on the support of legal immigrants. Funding those who enter without consent, allow other to take advantage of the law and risk terrorists from invading the United States with such ease. However the previous status of the illegal refugee must be evaluated in order to consider aiding the victim.
