Democratic Party:

1. How would you describe the main focus of this party?

As stated in the Preamble, “ The Democrats believe that cooperation is better than conflict, unity is better than division, empowerment is better than resentment and bridges are better than walls.”. In other words, the Democrats main theory is that if we emerge into a unified nation, we can be unstoppable. Another prioritized focus in this team, is the equality and rights of all citizens when it comes to fair pay and taxes of the country. For example, as the economy builds, it will produce more opportunities for good-paying jobs and increased wages. In addition, equality in rewards towards all classes, instead of business people at the top, as well as fairness women job salaries will prevent prejudice and families who may not be completely capable to provide themselves. The Democrats party also mentions that if we continue to handover our economic gains to the wealthy and ignore the rest of our habitants, it “makes our economy weaker, our communication poorer and our politics poisonous.”.

2. How would you describe the overall tone of this party?

As for the overall tone, the Democrats seem to be doing a fairly great work in creating newly diversed jobs created by the new generation. They are also willing to accept all kinds of individuals, but are mainly targeting young adults, so no one gets left behind.

Terrorism:

The Democrats main concerned threats is ISIS and Al-Qaeda. However, to defeat such a menace, the American army would need to press certain regions, harden their defense and create more alliances with countries. The platform also suggest that “dismantling the global network of terror” will prevent terrorists from obtaining more soldiers, money and weapons. To conclude, his party truly believes that strengthening their knowledge will expand if they improve safeguards, inform the intelligence service of the matter and deal effectively with any random dangers.

Employment:

The Democratic party will provide more full-employment jobs that would pay enough to ensure all a family's needs. In addition, they claim to assist in small businesses growth to rapidly supply work by giving tax relief and simplification, if elected. Also, Hillary Clinton will furnish direct federal funding in some local programs to ensure teens a place to work and allow them to discover more career opportunities. Nevertheless, this campagnes biggest investment will be spent on clean energy jobs, to help prevent global warming, lead to new work and save people from monthly energy bills.

Healthcare:

An issue the party is willing to fix is treating mental health issues as serious as physical problems and reducing the cost of drug prescription. Another focus of theirs is to provide public coverage to people who are battling pre-existing disabilities and the right to have universal healthcare to everyone in their own state. In addition, they would like to create and expand more mental health and family planning centers, to avoid unnecessary trips to the emergency room as well as wrong treatment. The Democrats are also eager to put a stop to unexpected billing and over-priced practices, as well as medication. Finally, reduce the tax on expensive health insurance.

Republican Party:

1. How would you describe the main focus of this party?

To begin, the Republicans believes in bringing back the old fashion and long-established laws. Furthermore, Donald Trump is emphasizing the income towards rich folks like himself who are located in the higher-class as well as aiming for the older generation. The party claims that providing more freedom in politics and the economy, can make America unconquerable. In conclusion, the main focus in the Republicans case, is to increase the economy by a grand scale and establish better health care.

2. How would you describe the overall tone of this party?

In order to “make America great again”, the Republicans want to strengthen and enlarge their economy to gain more money.

Terrorism:

The Republicans first act if president, will be to discontinue the fundings towards the Mullahs and lift international penalty. Furthermore, the campaign will “temporarily” banned muslims from the US, in order to find out the strategies of terrorist tribes from the outside. As for the most important, Donald Trump is claiming to build a wall in between Mexico, Canada and the United States to prevent illegal immigrants and terrorists from trespassing.

Employment:

The following party will start by funding small businesses in hopes of creating more professions and discover fresh ideas that can achieve success. Providing additional industrial jobs and factories, instead of importing goods from other countries such as China. Another proposal is to break the NAFTA trade agreement altogether. At last, The Republican party will prevent illegal immigrants from entering the United States since they assume that these mexicans are stealing our jobs.

Healthcare:

If the Republican party somehow become president, they are mandated to get rid of Obamacare to gain taxcut. Alternatively, the candidate wants to recuperate the traditional patient to doctor bond, relied on trust, informed consent and confidentiality. To do so, the Republicans will increase health care options and contain costs. In addition, decreasing the payment of medical insurance and Medicaid. The patients will also have the right to be informed about the prices on the treatment before allowing them to agree. The campaign will authorize insurance buyers a tax break.

a) For each issue, explain if you believe the party was specific or vague in stating its position. Why do you think this is so?

For terrorism, Donald Trump has some specifics such as building a wall and banning muslims, but they are not realistic settings and vaguely thought through. For example, Trump claims that he will create this so-called wall of theirs, however, he does not have the appropriate fundings or money to maintenance nor construct the barrier itself. Additionally, in what way can security measures discover which people are muslims and others not, if some muslims like myself don’t wear a hijab? The Democrat’s claims on the other hand, are quite simple and vague as well. Their party’s main priority is to create alliances and attempt to cut off terror connections.

Employment wise, both campagne have similar ideas. For instance, the two campagnes want to fund small businesses, in hopes of creating more professions and at the same time, employment for a lot of people. Nevertheless, Hillary Clinton will investment greatly on clean energy jobs, to help prevent global warming, lead to new work and save people from monthly energy bills, while Donald Trump wants to provide additional industrial jobs and factories, instead of importing goods from other countries such as China. In my opinion, these are smart ideas, but in a way, it is lifting the weight off the government, and placing it on the shoulders of the public.

When it comes to healthcare, each party has distinctive ideas. For example, the Democrats is willing to continue the Obamacare as well as put a stop to unexpected billing, over-priced practices, medication and reduce the cost of drug prescription. However, Republicans want to discontinue the ACA altogether to gain tax cut. In addition, Hillary will reduce the tax on expensive health insurance, even though Trump is supposing to authorize insurance buyers a tax break in general.

b) What role does each party believe the government should take? (What type of government action and/or legislation, if any, does each party support?)

Hillary Clinton is extremely dedicated to supporting people rights and spreading diversity all over the country. For instance, the Democrats assume that the United States need to create bonds with other countries in order to destroy ISIS as well as all remaining threats. They also want to treat all humans equally. An example of this is her mentioning of treating mental health issues as serious as physical problems. Nevertheless, the campaign is especially targeting the younger generation and are basing actions on whether it is best for us teenagers or not.

Donald Trump on the contrary, believes to make their economy stronger and bring back old traditional laws. In addition, his party will make harsh adjustments when it comes to “making America great again” and his campaign is obviously aiming towards the wealthy as well as older group. For example, Trump wants to construct more industries and stop taking immigrants from different countries like Mexico and China to provide jobs that these people have been stealing all long. Not only that, but, he is committed to discontinue Obamacare and funding the Mullah’s and instead, create alliances with Poutine.

c) For these issues, which party’s position lines up with your own?

Overall, I would proudly pronounce myself as a Democratic supporter, since most of my concerns are claimed to be resolved by Hillary Clinton. First, I believe that global warming is becoming a tremendous issue and very few people are taking action. This party wants to invest more on clean energy jobs, to help prevent drastic changes in the global temperature. Furthermore, treating all patients equally is also in the greatest interest of mine since I think that everyone was created the equitable from god and that should not be changed once a human is born onto the world. Additionally, Clinton has a very deep connection to the saying “we are stronger together” and I definitely agree. I believe that if everyone can just emerge into a unified nation, we can be unstoppable.
